What's changing on 1 December

Hi all,

A heads-up about some changes to the tiers. Nothing happens until Tuesday 1 December, and the short version is that nobody loses anything. If you're already a member, your price stays the same and you keep everything your tier gives you today. Anything you've already downloaded is yours.

Here's how the tiers will look from 1 December:

Members

The core modules and core packs stay open to everyone, as they always have. Members also get the dev log, covering what's just been released. It's been occasional so far, and from here it comes every other week.

Initiate, £3

Initiate content packs. Every new themed pack from 1 December is for Initiates and above, and you get each one the day it ships. From November there's also a sneak peek once a month at what's still being built, with a poll on what comes next.

Acolyte, £5

Everything in Initiate, plus the premium modules, Cursewright and Voice, which stay with Acolytes and above, and Module Early Access. That means new modules and big features about 30 days before their public release. Acolyte also gets the premium packs: new professions, bigger mechanical expansions, and curse sets for Cursewright.

Weaver, £10 or more

Everything in Acolyte, plus a vote in the Weaver Backlog, which sets what I build next.

If you're already a member

If you're an Initiate today, you stay at £2. The £3 price is only for people who join from 1 December. Your pack reward becomes Initiate content packs, so every new themed pack from 1 December is yours, and it stays with Initiates and above.

If you're an Artificer, nothing changes for you. The tier closes to new members on 1 December, and you keep your £20 price and every perk you have now.

Packs that already exist stay exactly as they are, and most of them are open to everyone.

The first Initiate pack

Gloom & Spore, a Respite terrain pack
Cover art: AI-generated.

The first Initiate pack arrives on 1 December: Gloom & Spore, a new Respite terrain set deep underground, with its own camp events and a disaster to get through. It grew out of my own underground campaign, plus a few requests on Discord.

What's coming

Here's a rough outline of the next few months. Some of it I'm saving for the sneak peeks, so this isn't everything.

  • In November, a proper install guide for packs and premium modules, so getting set up lives on one page instead of across old posts.
  • Also in November, a new module goes into Module Early Access for Acolytes.
  • In December, Monstrous Feast is planned to arrive in Foundry's own package browser, open to everyone as always. The first Weaver Backlog vote follows in mid December.
  • Into the new year, new packs keep coming at a steady pace, switching between terrain packs and new curse sets for Cursewright. Each one shows up first in the sneak peeks.

If you have any questions, the Discord is the easiest place to ask, or you're welcome to leave a comment here.

Thanks, as always, for keeping the workshop going.

Happy adventuring.
